Vandy just came off a milestone win in the Derrick Mason era. They're coming in dry, do they pull the upset at Houston this weekend?

As an SEC fan, I hope so. As a realist, no way in hell.

Won't win because VU won't score enough points but will cover the 13 pt spread. I'm thinking about like Ole Miss 27-17 type of game, but could see it being very close late. Will say this Houston's schedule to this point is extremely suspect. Best team they have beat is a 3-4 Louisville team in a game they got 4 turnovers & ran 92 plays of offense to win by 3.

Other victories are over teams with Ds that rank 78, 88, 121, 123, 124 & Tennessee Tech for the 125th ranked schedule nationally. Houston starts 3 Freshmen at Center & both Guards, I think VU can do somethings to them defensively that they have not seen yet this season and keep the game close. Unfortunately VUs offense is so bad that I don't see them getting the win.

UH is the only hope for a winning team in Houston area right now. The Texans suck, Rice is mediocre, TSU and HBU couldn't beat most high schools, & we know about the dumpster fire 90 miles away. Tickets are cheap and LSU is open, so if the weather is ok, I'm going to the UH new stadium to watch that game.

Supposed to rain and be miserable all day I believe in Houston with chance of a thunderstorm....another reason I would take Vandy to cover. Don't feel as strong about this one as the under with Mizzou last weekend...that was like taking candy from a baby.

I think Vandy covers for sure. I'm not convinced they won't win outright. For all the love they're getting, Houston's literally played nobody. We're 7 weeks into the season and they've yet to play a FBS team with a winning record.

Louisville 3-4
Texas State 2-4
Tulsa 3-4
SMU 1-6
UCF 0-8
Tulane 2-5

Their best win is 34-31 at Louisville.

Meanwhile, Vandy's played a much tougher schedule, been competitive in pretty much every single game, and have best defense Houston's seen thus far by a wide margin.

I went to one of their games earlier this season. It's a really nice stadium for its size; immeasurable improvement over the old stadium.
