This board is fine but the old DawgRant was better.....most of the posts here were identical to those on the rant but the rant had the added caveat of great meltdowns, invites to Waffle House, threats of physical violence, talk of outright mutiny, anarchy and armed insurrection. And the game threads....my god the game threads.....the ole boy who ran the rant and had some interest in a bar in Athens (May have just been a huge ongoing tab for all I can remember) was fricking fantastic in game threads....he would lose his fricking mind.
This board is similar to a Chamber breakfast while the rant was more like a Krystal at 4 AM on a Sunday morning when the bars closed and the Waffle House had a 45 minute wait for a booth......almost identical crowd but the few who had been banned from the WH added a certain something that this one is missing.

The wild west of MBs. Regulation only improves the experience for the Sunday crowd: those who know they should exit a naughty thread, but cannot bring themselves to do so. They require forced regulation to retain their faux purity as they step out of the church to sneak a sip from the flask and have a quick puff on a Red.
At least a few of us embrace our status of degenerates...

yeah..sigh..I remember when I was new to the Rant and got intellectually blasted by Horndog, CHD and a few others..read Pigboy's "hunting from the cab of his pickup truck" posts..I remember once somebody posted a pic of some hoodlum who tried to jump out of a window only to literally tear his head off on spikes on a fence..the posts that followed..I've never laughed so hard in my life..
