I never thought I'd see the day LSU would become Bama's Super Bowl. The reason for this, I believe, is the fact that the series is nearly even since LSU sent Bear Bryant into retirement with a beating in 1982 and the LSU domination of Bama from 2000-2011 (9-3).

They can sense that LSU is ready to re-establish this trend that started with the turn of the century. They have a blend of fear and respect and it's healthy for the "rivalry"
