This marks the second time that the Skyhawks will be featured on the SEC Network this year, joining UT Martin’s season-opener at Ole Miss. The Skyhawks have appeared on the SEC Network four times since the network’s inception prior to the 2014 season.

This will be the first matchup between the two programs in series history. Overall, the Skyhawks have played four SEC opponents in the past two years. The contest will serve as Arkansas’s Homecoming contest.

They are 5-2, lost to jax state 48-41.

Their OC
quote:

Bond’s coaching career began at Arkansas, where he worked under head coaches Lou Holtz and Ken Hatfield for two years as a student assistant and one year as a graduate assistant. That came after Bond played one season at Arkansas before suffering a career-ending injury. He earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Arkansas in 1985.

A Rogers, Ark. native, Bond was an all-state quarterback for his father Gary Bond at Rogers High School. John was inducted into the Rogers High Hall of Fame while his father is a member of the state’s high school federation Hall of Fame.

They have a few sec transfers. Last I checked on stubhub, You can get a parking pass and a ticket for 12 dollars total.

I'm curious if we will get to see Juan day. I honestly would rather start getting him reps than put denzell evans out there. I'm not sure about day as he was injured his senior year and thought maybe he would suprise me. there was some who said they liked him more than Tenpenny(I figure just butt hurt). denzell on the other hand I seen his highlights and could tell the guy just didn't have the speed or ability to make it in this league. I'm not sure if Juan has lost a step after getting hurt but who knows. all I know is AC better get as little carries as possible to let him get healthy and God forbid KW get injured. in fact it would be ok with me if they gave denzell evans reps as long as we still won and everyone else stayed healthy.

Yeah...well...better than Tenpenny doesn't turn out to be so great after all. I feel horrible for the kid and his family, but overblown expectations probably led to some of his problems. Very sad.

Day is apparently a great kid. Hope he can get back out there and enjoy himself..and help the team.

A win with no injuries would be a great Halloween treat. Good to see a former Arkansas player and grad assistant getting a chance to climb the coaching ranks and it looks like UTM has managed to right the ship. They've been horrible for a while now but 5-2, with one loss coming to Ole Miss, is a pretty respectable record.

Woo pig! I would like to see a four quarter dominating performance by the team. After the Auburn game, it wouldn't surprise me if they came out a little flat though.

A good game to get Mitchell and some other backs some carries to see what they can do.

Ball security will be key. If the backups get in there and start putting the ball on the ground things could get tight.

We don't need tight this week.

Basically, we need to be ready to actually play some football, and not get caught off-guard.

If we do that, the game should be an easy W.

I find myself in sin this week. So I come here to confess to all those who will bear witness. I spent too much of this week arguing when instead I should have been in here saying frick the Skyhawks and thanking God for his shift in allegiance away from the Gus Bus.

I stand repentant and ask forgiveness from all of you. Except for Pigfeet.
