texas a&m ranks 101st in rushing d (last in the SEC)

they are 64th in total D while

LSU is 20th in total D

Chavis was never going to be the savior their fans made him out to be. When LSU actually had offense in 2013, one of the best offenses ever, his D was one of the worst.. and there's no excuse.. not even being young.. LSU's defense is just as young this season. Chavis struggled to stop the run at times, and there is nothing more demoralizing than being ran all over.. and at a&m the D is soft any ways.

Chavis was not getting it done in recruiting at LSU.. and this is the biggest name of the game when it comes to defense.. field the best players.. LSU's recruiting is better than ever, especially defensively.. It is so much more refreshing.

LSU will always have great D, they have before Chavis and they will after.. a&m is just not known for defense.. regardless who is the coordinator.
