Dumbo would be 4-3 or 3-4 right now with our schedule. FSucks is not capable of competing in the SEC that is why the ole man chickened out when asked to join.

He's used to it. Every time he slinks back over here he gets treated worse than the other welcher, Stonehog.

Perhaps they are one in the same.

Alter check.

Florida. Better conference tv contract, easier to get noticed when you are doing well. Big time money from the bowls. Better college atmosphere.

Good points. Now Foley just needs to start spending more of that money. O-Dome getting renovated next year. Mac probably wants more money for football too.

Spend, spend, spend.

I think Mac can lead a very successful capital campaign too if he wins out this year.

Well shite Mac got the ipf construction started without ever coaching a game

I believe they started renovating players living quarters too

Those were the main things needed to be done imo

the question is open to interpretation.

all you said was "better"... you didn't give any criteria. Better for what.

Keeping your job, easy to win at, better academically, better quality of life, better conference...all u said was better.

Hell u didn't even say better for what sport.

Therefore you have Gator fans explaining why UF is far superior in certain categories. FSU fans say, it's easy to win in the ACC, we can compete for a NC every year if we beat Pitt and Boston College.

Better is different to every person you ask. There are some idiots who will argue that Little Caesars Pizza is "better" than an authentic pizza made by an Italian Pizzamaker who spent a lot of time kneading the dough.

Which one of those persons is correct? One is judging "better" based on delivery time, cheapness, etc.

The other is judging based on taste, quality, etc.

If you want to keep your job and play noon games versus Basketball schools that guarantee you'll never win less than 9 games a year.

If you wanna play quality competition week in and week out, and not have to worry about whether or not you're good enough to win against any other conference (see The SEC BCS Streak, and FSU vs Oregon last year), you may see clearly that UF is the better job.

EVERY School in the SEC is a football school! AND if they're not...they're trying to be. See this schools for example (UK).

There's no reason UNC should not be able to win 9 games every year in the ACC. But in that conference it's ok to be a basketball school only.

I like this post. I'll go with UF. Their AD is killing it right now.

this could come across sounding like a hater...but I don't care.

I respect any coach who can come in...AS a head coach..and win NCs and SEC Championships and sustain that level....
If you can win in the SEC, you can win anywhere. You can win at all other stops, and fall flat on your face in the SEC.

Saban, Miles, Spurrier, Meyer will always be respected. They won at every level in every conference.

Jimbo Fisher is looking at Frank Beamer status as his best case scenario if he stays at FSU forever. That's cute what he does in that little conference, and he'll pile up wins but never be mentioned in the same breath as those who did it versus tougher competition.

FSU is WITHOUT a doubt in the weakest conference amongst Power 5 schools. Not even tlaking just SEC, that's a no-brainer.

Is ACC stronger than?

B1G- no way
PAC-12- nope
Big 12- hell no
SEC- next question

So FSU is better if you like knowing you can always be the best of the worst. But in the grand scheme of things that makes you maybe average at best.

You act as if those wins in the 60's and 70's don't matter. Weren't you the one that mentioned in this thread that FSU had a better history? You are being hypocritical with this comment UF has owned this series for a long time and just because you guys have scraped by against one of our worst coaches in history the last few years doesn't mean all that much. Typical Nole, see ya November 28th

How many good match ups are there in ACC play this week?

I don't think I've seen an ACC team play this year TBH. Do they still televise that shite show of a league?

Make a ban bet with him for the game. Don't expect him to honor it though.

Our history started in the 80s. Yours in the 90s. Beating us in the 60s and 70s when we just started playing football =/= owning.

Not sure how much the easiest to get into the Champioship thing matters to a great coach. Competitive people like a challenge and the SEC presents simply the biggest challenge in college football.

I got into FSU and UF. I wanted to challenge myself academically with a quality education. Yeah FSU would have been much easier, but again if you have any self respect whatsoever then you try to be the best you can be.

Of course those that couldn't get into UF would be in this thread because deep down inside that are furious they coudln't make the cut.
