This goes past protesting a flag, it's something that's completely disrespectful to the state the school represents. In this case it isn't about what's on the flag, it's the fact that it IS THE STATE FLAG.

That flag is completely disrespectful to a large portion of the population it is supposed to represent. Since the "leaders" of our state don't have the guts to do what is right, they don't deserve the respect of having that flag flown.

If this were true then why did a majority of the state already vote to keep it?

WHY?

Why is a state flag or the confederate flag a complete disrespect of the large portion of the population. See this is what wrong with you people. You think that these flags mean something that they don't. The idea behind the Confederacy in general was for state rights. It had nothing to do with slavery but every damn liberal in the world would want you to think that. The flag represents States Rights, the damn Civil War was not about Slavery and some people really need to go back and read there history books. The north was getting there arse kicked until the French made them give up there slaves for support. This has nothing to do with slavery or racism and before you go off the hinges about the Klan they are small minor sect, that has no power whatsoever.

Oh and before you start calling me a racist, I fought for my flag which is the flag of The United States. However, I also respect the Confederate Veterans of America as well and my fellow states man who fought wars in order to ensure liberate in there own states.

BTW my view on slavery is; it was a Damn shame and I wish it never happened.
