His Tiger career really got derailed by knee injuries, but best from my high school is Will Arnold.

The occasion for which the trip is celebrating is end of August, so that’s when it made the most sense to go. Also I live in south Louisiana so I’m not scared of a little heat and humidity.

I did my residency in Houma. Never heard anyone say anything really complimentary of the place in 3 years. Nothing bad, just never heard anyone gush over it like people talk about La Tour. We had our graduation dinner at the clubhouse and I was really impressed with what I saw. Makes me kinda regret never making an effort to get on out there.

Quivira trip

Posted by ctowntiger on 7/11/26 at 5:00 pm
FINALLY pulled the trigger on a graduation trip to Cabo. Just set up tee time for Quivira in September. I know several on here have played it, any tips for a first timer? I’m a little unclear on the caddie situation. I think I read somewhere they rode on the back of your cart. Is this true? And what do y’all typically tip a caddie (admittedly I have never played at a course where I would have to worry about it). Thanks in advance!! I’ll post pics post trip.

When Ole Miss is playing well, Oxford is not pretty mid. That Saturday in September is going to be on a different level of craziness and I can’t wait to be in middle of it.

Y’all must have gone to a different stadium than me. I’ve been to Vaught 7-8 times, was there when Eli lead them to their prestigious western division co championship.

I’ve been to titty bars that were more threatening.
Yes, old timers thing it’s cursed plus it’s the worst of our uni options

Takomo irons

I’m getting buried in targeted ads for takomo irons. They certainly look good. Has anybody hit them?

This would actually be hilarious ??

speak for yourself. GTHOM
There are under the delusion that Ole Miss is “equal” to LSU. Nothing will make them happy, aside from cold Zaxby’s chicken tenders in a tent with a chandelier.
I’m not sure how that helps us. But I HATE aTm, so sure

Bump. Thinking of playing there on Friday. That or Carter? Thoughts

I’ll save you a lot of time. The answer to that question is always Carter.

They literally have to beg them to show up at all

We also don’t need the repair bill every year (i.e., contract extension) to keep the Rolex working.

Bought my Rolex in 2010. Never been “repaired.” Not a great analogy

Cabo trip recs

Posted by ctowntiger on 10/31/25 at 5:49 pm
Currently in process of planning a trip to Cabo. Quivara has been on my bucket list since I read about it in magazine a few years back. Putting a graduation trip together to finally play it. Looking at staying at Pueblo bonito Pacifica, wife seems happy with all non golf amenities.
This board is typically well traveled so looking for advice. Anyone done a similar trip? Any feedback on that resort (should I look at other options)? How about other courses in the area, or should I play Quivara twice? Any and all input is appreciated. Thanks in advance
Clemson DV = Mobile Mardi Gras.
They can have the original one. I’m content to have the better one.

Front 9 is horrendous, back 9 is awesome. Doesn’t feel like the same course. Great for the money I always enjoy my rounds there.

Agreed I played it a few weeks ago. Average round time. Course was in great shape as usual

Courses in Austin

Gonna take a last minute trip to Austin next weekend for the LSU Texas game. Wanna try to squeeze in a round while there. Anybody got course recs around Austin? Thanks in advance.
I don’t think you get a choice, way I understood it is they rotate courses so only one is open at any given time. I got to play azalea, it was awesome
