I'm really not sure what people were seeing before last night that made them convinced that White "clearly" wasn't a guy that could lead the team. He is a freshman that has 3 games under his belt now, he could become a really good quarterback for us but our playcalling still is lacking a lot. We need to figure out a way to run the ball without the read option.

I liked when we stacked Pettway, Roc and Barber in the backfield at the same time and ran a lot of misdirection, I think that is the biggest key to our offense. Misdirection and motions. It was also nice to see us hurry several times during the game.

Yep, this x 100. We're going to have a low ceiling unless we figure this out. Sean played great and definitely cemented himself as the starter. A good defense probably shuts us down last night though. We need more out of the running game.

We also went under center more times last night than I can ever recall Gus doing. Maybe we throw in a few more wrinkles like the toss sweep and play some power football. It's not there yet, but I can definitely see some play action passes coming out of it too

Or actually run the read option. What is the point of faking it every play and having White run down the field? Seems like wasted energy to me.

Turnover ratio. JJ made it pretty easy. There's nothing more frustrating to a coach than a turnover. Also we moved the ball down the field with SW.
