I wasn't around in 1942...must have been a stellar game though, sorry I missed it!

It's called reading comprehension- I have stated "since 1981" in one text and the one you just replied to, I said

so, to most people, its evident that I referring to current history not games my grandfather would have watched when he was younger.

We will use 1981 as the point of reference, of course this was before I watched football (i started in 1987) but pushing it back a bit helps your case.
