SOS lied to his team. He lied to their parents. And then he quit like a bitch. You guys can lap up his shite sandwich all you want. I have no skin in the game.

Sure he lied to his players. Just like every single one of the 13 other head coaches in the SEC have lied to the kids (or professionals) on their last team about their intentions.

In the sports world, those are by and large considered white lies. Like I said, every one of our coaches have let a roster full of players down, usually multiple times, before their current stint.

USC fans see the writing on the wall and seem to be thrilled at getting a head start on rebuilding rather than a guy quitting 2-3 months before NSD.

The players, they do suffer some hardship but that's a part of this level of football.

But look at Auburn, Bama, aTm and others in the very recent past- they've gotten new coaches and then a roster full of the previous coaches' players have soared to heights they never would have under the regime immediately prior. They have to choose if Spurrier leaving is reason to stop trying for what they came for when they signed with USC.

Maybe him sitting through the losses would have been a healthy ego check- but that's not good for the program as that is a lame duck personality with no ties to the future influencing the program.
