It says Spurrier is leaving immediately, but i mean your playing Vandy on saturday... why not leave on a W?

Also you gotta admit, SEC Nation with Spurrier would be a game-changer!

He should fill the role that Lou Holtz had on ESPN, think he would be pretty good there.

We don't really have much to lose in the way of recruits, either.

I think he left now in order to lessen the long term impact on recruiting.

That, and he had had enough of this shite.

Of course, finebaum just said hbc wasn't going anywhere, as did the biographer he was interviewing ! Nice call pawl!!

I'm sure he'll have a ton of offers to do TV ... he'd be a natural, for awhile anyways. He's got some years left on him for the fans.

Maybe he left because he figured this would be his first losing season as a college coach since his 1st year 26 years ago. Pretty remarkable either way... Very few teams in the history of college football were as scary at his teams at Florida.
