I can't believe I'm saying this after such a shite show of a game on defense, but in Wommack's defense, Grier looked bad and Florida's offensive line looked pitiful before this game. I'm sure he assumed we'd have a disruptive d-line vs a QB who couldn't connect....WAOM though and he should have known better. We have a history of making new QB's look like Heisman front runners when it matters. Their line played great and a freshman QB had a career day against us. He should have made adjustments, but I can see how his initial game plan made sense and why we played so soft the first half.

We simply can't play so soft going forward. Vandy gave the game plan to Forida and every swinging dick in the SEC West is going to copy it until the D shows they can stop it. Additionally moving Hilton to Husky and Elston back to his Rover position may shore up the back end if Hampton can line everyone up and keep everything in front of him. As for the linebackers.....can we just clone Denz?
