Can someone explain why and is it really about his hearing impairment?

He hasn't quit yet, but his hearing impairment has played a large factor in it. He doesn't have an implant so he does run a risk wearing the hearing aids while playing. Noise at a D1 stadium even when at a dull murmur presents problems in isolating sounds from specific teammates and coaches when you don't have time for hand signals. Not to mention the noise spike from contact if he is even able to play in them.
Tee has overcome a lot and is very well liked by fans, the staff, and the team. Please don't make this some instate rival bullshite.

Well I certainly thought he was primed for a big two year career with the rebs. Seemed like there was a lot of talk about him in fall practice.

Article I read makes him look like he's just being a little bitch about playing time.

I don't think this is related to his hearing loss. I don't think he has a severe to profound hearing loss anyway, that may have affected his game a bit more than many. However it could be an issue, that has nothing to do with talent. Sometimes it's hard for someone with any type of disability, mild or otherwise, to fit in. I wish him well. There are many young adults out there now seated with hearing loss, but sometimes it takes the hearing world to help a bit
