How is it irrelevant?

Because "weird things happen" isn't a relevant argument when assessing a matchup where one team is clearly superior, as ASU is to Syracuse. Yes Syracuse COULD beat ASU but we have no reason to believe they would.

Meanwhile, Auburn almost lost at home to San Jose State and an FCS team. It's more than reasonable to say that Syracuse could realistically beat them in the Carrier Dome.

There is no doubt in anyone's mind Syracuse would beat the shite out of Auburn in the Carrier Dome, Jordan-Hare, Ethiopia, or any damn place.

I don't think they're clearly superior. Syracuse still has a top 20 defense, which I think could disrupt ASU's offense. Now scoring might be an issue, but on a neutral field, I don't think it's the blow out you're acting like it is. Syracuse is ranked higher in scoring offense and yards per play over ASU.

When did these teams play? Hate I missed that game and all of the stats that show the 'Cuse getting beat down...
