I don't understand this? I suggest you people look at the NOAA site and try to understand, I've made it easy for you. Do ya'll really think a hurricane can be responsible for another natural disaster 500 miles removed? A hurricane passing over S. Florida can cause flooding in New Orleans? Stupid? Just look at the freaking data ...

This storm was a result of mid-latitude air mass interaction... and those interactions also steered the hurricane... but the hurricane did not cause the flooding...

Oh well...the damage is bad enough so it probably makes little difference what people think the cause is ... but it isn't hurricane damage like Katrina, Rita, etc.
