I got sucked in...we all did. But sitting here watching Florida win an exciting game against a quality opponent...I'm sad.

I mean I'm not a sky is falling kinda guy, but frick me what happened today is 100% inexcusable.

It's just time to face who we are under richt which is a good but not great program.

Accepting that is going to be tough but I'm officially converted.

This arse whipping will not soon be forgotten

Welcome to the dark side.

Hmm a first year head coach putting a whooping on a top 5 team....

I have forgotten what that feels like.

Flip over to UT Arkansas. It'll make you feel a little better.

We have issues at QB.

Our defense is improved but still not championship caliber.

Bamas front 7 are all pretty good.

Our receivers can't get separation from good defenders.

Bama is loaded with 5* talent and really sound from top to bottom.

You may sneak up on Saban - but there aren't many programs that can beat them outright if they're focused.

We'll lose 2 or 3 this year but could have a shot at the SECCG if we take care of the east.

What out of all of this is any different from where we sat prior to the season beginning? It sucks but it's not unexpected. Im numb to the whole fricking thing at this point....but will defer losing hope until we drop a game to one of these eastern teams.

I didn't...I wanted to, but I have been burnt too many times. It ain't happening with Richt and it happening at UGA...we are a second (at best) level program and always have been. We have won the conference twice in 33 years.

There is no reason to blame Mark Richt or anyone else...it is what it is...UGS is just not an elite program, never has been and never will be. Winning at the next level is just not important to the program or the fan base.

I have actually known this (although I wouldn't admit until about 5 years ago) since the late 70's. The thing was though that Vince Dooley teams occasionally won a game we had no business winning. We haven't done that is a LLLLLOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGG time...

Mark Richt will be at UGA as long as he wants to be because the program has never been in better shape, period. And by any measure that is what a Head coaches job is....especially at UGA.

This the vaunted "Georgia Way"....not great but not horrible...2 national titles in 109(?) years, 2 SEC championships in 33 years...winning almost all of the games we are supposed to win and losing to almost every quality opponent we play every year. If this ain't your idea of a good team or program to root for you have picked the wrong one to be a fan of because this is as good as it gets...the best we have any right to expect is to win a game every 4 or 5 years that we have no business winning. That is the legacy of UGA football and unfortunately it doesn't happen very often any longer...
