After 1996 he never won more than 10 games in a season at UF. This is Florida, loads of talent. Like at Bama, 10 wins a season is about "average". A decent coach should be able to win 10 games a year at either school. There are going to be ups and downs, but on average. Spurrier was a great coach, and he put Florida where they should be. I also think his time is up and he'll retire after this year. Bryant looked a lot older than Spurrier does now, but Spurrier is older than Bryant when he retired.

Yes I will agree with you on that, seems like it's the end of the line for him.

Bear was a heavy drinker... he aged at an accelerated rate, ha.

At this juncture, do you think Spurrier is leaving SC in better shape than he found it?

Only 11 game seasons then too. So at most there were 13 games.
