He is paid over 6 million for a cush job at ESPN. I doubt he goes to Tennessee.

Now that you mention it, I think we should start 50 Grumor threads right now, just to piss you off.

Gruden makes like 9 million a year working for espn. Why would he ever leave that kinda deal.

Yeah, but it'll be overshadowed by Saban to Texas after Strong gets canned

Why would Gruden leave ESPN and his $15 million per year paycheck?

It's crazy to think that Gruden would leave ESPN where he makes 38 mil a year, but I'm getting grude vibes from this thread.
His wife was a UT cheerleader and they own land in the area. He could come here where his son is a student.

Tennessee doesn't need to (and probably isn't) firing Jones this year period, even if he goes 3-9. The athletic department couldn't withstand that right now. Next year is the year he is ultimately judged. I'm an Ole Miss alumni, but my family is full of die-hard UT fans and grads so I know a good bit about them. This thread is actually pretty pathetic and dumb TBH.

Clay Travis says it's a done deal.

Jamarcus Russell lead Oakland Raiders to win over Jon Gruden's Tampa Bay Bucs.
WHO WOULD WANT JON GRUDEN AS THEIR COACH.

Jon Gruden isn't going to take a paycut to work in college or the NFL-- and even if the NFL is offering 10 million a year or something outlandish, its a pretty massive paycut in terms of dollars per hour-- getting millions (I would assume) to do maybe at most 40 hours a week with probably 10 weeks off a year vs. 100 hours a week every Fall and then 40 hours a week the rest of the year with maybe a month off is no contest as long as the easier job is paying him enough to live comfortably.

Gruden getting paid to work once a week and deal with less stress. Nope.
