Its a stats thing. In 82 seasons of football, a Big 6 member has outright won or shared the SEC title 76 times. Since Ole Miss' last SEC title in 1963, the only non Big 6 member to taste an SEC title was Kentucky in 1976. They shared the title with Georgia that year, but the Bulldogs beat the Wildcats 31-7 in the regular season, and deservedly repped the SEC in the Sugar Bowl.
Now you know.
Yeah, over recent years I managed to figure it out.
But thanks for the explanation--seriously.
They're impressive numbers.
Again, it's such an esoteric term, I don't know why anyone would be offended by its use.
That's like getting your feathers ruffled that Florida's official state tartan has more red in it than does Texas'.
Apart from anyone in either of those states who happens to give a lick about such things, no one is going to care.
As has has already been said: If someone doesnt like it, their school's team needs to win more.
