What strikes me most is that the athlete can't use the time-honored tradition of using electives to strengthen their GPA - it's GPA in core classes. Math. Science. Foreign Language. ENGLISH...

Ok,you do know the requirements now are for the exact same core classes?Its now 2.0 and will move to 2.3.
The only other changes are the 10 of 16 requirments
before the Senior season.
These new rules aren't exactly game changers.

There are lots of great athletes that will be unable to meet the requirements. What's their alternate route to the NFL? (there isn't one)
