Because if you’re all gaga over LSU after one game, maybe you should look a little closer at Mississippi State. Despite losing some key contributors from last year’s magical season, this is still a team that can play with any in the SEC; still a team that — but for a missed field goal on the final play of the game against LSU — would be in the exact same place as last season.

As long as they've got Mullen, they'll find a way to choke....other than that, they're good.

Just the fact that you celebrate losses at home shows how much Moo U sucks. You will lose at least 4 or 5 games before the season is over

In their most magical season they still lost 4 games including their bowl game (even though they did lose to the best program in talent rich Georgia).

Moo-state was at home, playing their second game, led by the best QB in the SEC, against a team playing their first game, led by a soph. making his 2nd career start and without their defensive leader. Les was true to himself(to a fault) and played the 2nd half ultra-conservative which nearly bit him. The truth is, if LSU plays week one they aren't as conservative and win in Stark-Vegas going away. That being said, I picked State to have a successful season, go bowling and knock off a couple of good teams. They are not as good as they were a year ago, at the moment, but certainly should improve, just like everybody else.

I'm not sure your definition of choke but wouldnt that mean losing a game after being up? Or blowing a second half lead, leading to a loss? I agree we come out flat more than I would like but Isnt Dan like 30-1 with a lead after halftime?

That clock management and kicker swaps at the end of that game was one of the biggest blunders I've witnessed. I felt sorry for your fans. For 4 million a year, you'd thimk a coach could do better than that.

Don't really care. We don't play you again until 2016. I hope you win every game going forward. Good luck

More like a kitten who can't get down from a tree.

But for a missed Hail Mary at LSU last year, you would not have been that "mountain" LOL if you think you guys are on top....

They were senior-laden last year and look mediocre at this gesture. Confident they're going to finish 8-4 with losses to LSU, Texas A&M, Alabama, and Ole Miss.

A "missed FG" was a 52 yarder, don't act like it was a chip shot that should have been made.
