Looks like me and a buddy scored some tickets to the Ole Miss game this year (50 yd line, row 1 ).

flying to Memphis Friday night and driving in Saturday.

Whats the best way to get your drink on if you have to pour everything into a cup? Put a bottle in a backpack and make drinks? Sounds like beer will be too much of a pain to carry around.

Anyone else going? Any aggie tailgates?

I've been twice now. It's a fun little town. The drive is really easy from Memphis, like shorter than Houston-CS.

I've had a tailgate I could use as home base both times, but I would recommend using a flask or carrying around a small cooler you can throw away if you want ice.

Parking is an absolute bitch there, so factor that in when you plan on times. You may have to walk pretty far from where you park to the Grove

Ding, ding, ding!

In '12 we could park on campus, and we ended up maybe 1/4 mile from the Grove. Excellent. In '13 - nope. They had shuttle buses from several off-campus parking lots but they were way overtaxed. Getting in wasn't a problem because arrivals were spread out. Getting to the car afterwards took over 2 hours.

Parking there is without a doubt worse than CS. At least you can pay and park at a house in Southside in CS if you want to. There just are not options in Oxford, regardless of how much you're willing to pay. We lost like an hour and a half of valuable tailgate time the first time we went

Well it looks like the tickets we bought include a parking pass, but Im not sure where. I wonder if we could have an impromptu tailgate at our rental car.

I also want to make sure its going to be ok if I wear my cargos, 12th man jersey, and flip flops?

Shhhhhh I got friends that live in Northgate with plenty of parking, plus I got a cousin who is an A&M police officer. While I don't condone anything outside of the law anymore, just sayin

True that, and micheladas.

What about food. Are those fools gonna let us crash their tailgate and plunder their food and women?

Recommend Memphis, then hitting the casinos or some shotgun skeet golf

At Ole Miss? Oh, hell no. Not that they have any decent food to not share to start with, since there's no cooking in the Grove. The women I'm pretty sure are fair game, though. I was mesmerized and at the same time a bit embarrassed at the number of scantily-clad females who seemed to have forgotten their underwear in the Grove.

Interesting. Guess we will figure food out when we get there.

Scantily clad women you say? Unfortunately I have to behave on this trip...

Is no one else going from tArk?

You'll have much better luck finding the TexAgs tailgate (assuming they go) than counting on Ole Miss hospitality.

I'm undecided presently. Probably not because the following week we'll have a good Kyle Field road trip.

Yeah I didn't find the OM fans to be all that nice. They weren't outwardly jerks or anything at all, they just did not interact whatsoever with the opposing fans in either of my trips there

No confirmation yet, but I would bet my family ends up going to this one. My dad lives in the Missouri bootheel and has a couple multi generation Rebs that work for him.

Sec move has been a god send for me. Most of my life all I ever saw was the lone star showdown and occasional bowl game.

They're very clique-ish. We tailgate with a fairly large SEMO rebel group and even the ones there we don't know on a first name basis kind of stare whisper.

Yes, we are going. Flying into Memphis on Friday... back to Houston on Sunday. Have some other friends going and will check to see if they are tailgating somewhere. If so, will be glad to tell you where. You and whoever you are with are welcome to join.

Which side are you on? FYI.. we are in the box seats behind the A&M bench. Got them through an Ole Miss site a couple of months ago. First row on the 30, seats 1 and 2. Good god are these folks going to be disappointed when we show up.
