Not sure you saw the Miss St game. LSU had a total of 337 yards of offense. Harris was 9/14 for 71 yards.

The previous game for Miss St they gave up 415 yards to Southern Miss. Miss St. did shut down Southern Miss running game but they did throw for over 300 yards.

Say what you want but 337 yards of total offense and Miss St had a chance to win at the end. Mismanaged timeouts and ended up with a longer field goal attempt. Most of the LSU fans can say what they want but at the end of the day, Miss St had a decent chance to pull it off.

Harris may end up being a great duel threat player, passer, etc... but I don't see how you can say that after a 9/14 for 71 yards and 12/17 for 74 yards. He may end up being a great QB but let's don't get hysterical over these stats. He is on pace to pass for about 800 yards and throw 4 TDs.

Slow the roll just a bit.

When you have AP reincarnated you're going to run the ball a lot. Harris just put up a 70 percent completion game. Better than any Jennings performance EVER. Weren't people saying that if LSU could just get a serviceable qb they would be unstoppable?

I expect to see more pass attempts be taken as the season progresses

Oh, ok you want to play "what if" Fine, what if LSU doesn't have 180 yards and 2 tds called back on penalties. See how that works. What if means nothing. What counts is who has more points at the end of the game.

Harris also got a touchdown pass called back. Did you see that? He only got 14 passing opportunities think of it that way. No where near what average qb's get. Yeah, he's been majorly limited due to being considered a "risk." He's a young quarterback and those were must win games where every play counted. Then in the Auburn game when we finally got a dismal lead, Les didn't want to throw it all around and look like he was running up the score. He should get the opportunities in these upcoming few games to try out the passing game. Although, Les has to get Buga stats if he wants him to continue to be a heisman contender. But, if Les knows what is good for the team he'll majorly open up the passing attack. Also, comparing Brandon Allen to Brandon Harris is laughable. Allen doesn't have nearly the athletes around him and isn't even the same type of quarterback. That's the funniest comparison I've heard all day!

OSU is #1 and struggled against a shite team. Can't settle on one qb.

Not sure you last years game when LSU got behind and we HAD TO THROW - Harris was 6/9 for 140 yards and 2 TDs. As a team we threw for 341 yards and lost. Were really never in that game because we couldn't move the ball on the ground (89 yards rushing - 2.5 YPC) and control the clock.

Do you think that Southern Miss throwing in 44 times might be because they averaged 2.8 YPC and they were facing a double-digit deficit 2:45 into the 2nd half for the remainder of the entire half?

LSU has come out and taken control of both their games this year and did what they do best. As long as they do that, LSU will throw the ball sparingly. If Harris takes every snap and ends up with 800 yards and 4 TDs I guarantee you LSU will be undefeated.
