I am all for posters who are rivals coming to our board, BUT why dont they allow Gators, Vols etc etc unless its very selective?

Can talk football with the best of them and be the good guest. They've turned me down and I wonder what others have experienced? No scales off my back...but just dont like the imbalance.

IMO the team boards should just be for fans of that team to discuss issues related to their team and not have to deal with others. For some reason the Gator board seems to be more open to outsiders? the rant forum is for group discussions, not the team boards, again IMO.

I don't mind other fans discussing legit football topics in here.

I feel that as a group we are pretty even keel on here and are able to have good discussion with most fanbases without trolling or acting like idiots.

Speaking respectfully as someone grateful to have access here, the reason I like posting on team boards is sometimes I want to substantively engage in real football discussion with opposing teams' fans. Technically that's what the Rant is for, yes, but that's not how it works over there. The Rant is one long nonstop troll. Nothing over there is remotely serious, honestly.

I mean, if I had posted on the Rant looking for real football talk, it would have taken approximately two minutes for pictures of Lulu and Junior to pop up and before you know it, it would have become a thread on who would win a fight between Nick Saban and the creepy little psychic lady from Poltergeist.

I've only been on here a few days but y'all have already made for some good substantive discussion, which I seriously appreciate. I can't speak to any of you trying but failing to gain access to the Tennessee board as I don't have any power there.
