All that managed to do was remind me how close we were.

Poor defensive scheme late against USCe and a terrible defensive gameplan in the SECCG is what cost us a shot.

It was right there, that team was ready.

Yup, that was a truly great team. Best we've had under Pinkel. Had all the ingredients to get a national title, just didn't. Damn, it's hard to forgive Steckel for that game.

What a special team. great to see those kids getting their degrees after such hardships. there's a reason we make them go to class.

I wasn't going to watch it. I thought it was a part of the ESPN LBGT agenda. Then I saw the preview for it and saw that it was about much more.

It was really done well and I'm glad that I watched it. It was inspiring to see how the team and community rallied together that year.

It was more about over coming the odds all around you, from personal life, to on the football field, etc. That team did all that.

Let's be honest here, no one believed in them going into that season, no one except themselves.

I thought they did a nice job of showing that point of view.

Just a bummer that the story didn't end better that season.

I haven't had too many games get to me. This one did. From my end-zone seat I could see the holes for Mason. And they were there for it seemed like every play. I keep begging for a stop that never came. And now Mason tells Sam that all Mizzou had to do was "stay home" on D. There usually is a very fine line between winning and losing.

Yes, I agree with your statement above. I know Stec is a man of honor and I thank him for his efforts. But his "ducking" the press and fans about this game is very, very disappointing. I hope after the Pinkel years end, all parties to that game give a truthful assessment of that game. Fans like me have a little skin-in-the-game and deserve a small bone sometimes.

Tigers United was very good. It's a must see for recruits. You'll be glad you watched it.

I wasn't endzone, but about 20 yd line. The holes were there, and they were huge. It was shades of the loss to Navy. Steck never figured out how to stop that offense. It was painful to watch.

Finally got a chance to watch this program tonight. Wow. That was a special team. The focus on Washington, Foster and Sam was really cool. Great competitors. Damn, I wish we had LWash back this season!!

Best of luck to those guys, whatever their future holds. True Tigers.

The funny thing is, had we just played our base D we would have played much better and very likely won that game. Instead, we tried to get cute and completely reinvent our scheme in one weeks time.

I have no idea what in the frick they were thinking, but worse yet was not being able to make a halftime adjustment.
