How you boys feeling about the East in general and the match up in Gainesville on Saturday?

This is how I've got the East going into week 4.

1. UGA
2. UT
3. UF
4. MU
5. UK
6. USC
7. VU

As far as UF goes, this weekend is probably the best shot we've had in a long time down in Gainesville. You gotta think this is a huge one for the staff after last years cluster frick. Grab this game and they can set the tone for the rest of the season. Arkansas and everyone in the East outside of Georgia look beatable. IMO, if we grab the W this week (and I think we should in year 3 against a first year UF staff) 8-4 to 9-3 looks attainable. As does competing with UGA for the East. This one probably comes down to whose able to rush for more yards as it usually does. I think we're able to do that this year. Ultimately I think the UT Front 7 vs UF OL and vice versa determines this one. I like Hurd, Kamara, and Dobbs over Grier and UF's 2 backs. One of which is a true freshmen I believe. With as good as we've been in special teams I wouldn't be surprised to see them come through for us in a big way either. Punting and kick/punt returns are some of the best in the country right now. If Dobbs has a decent game, I like us in this one.

FWIW, I think we look like the better team through 3 games.

UT 27 - UF 17. DWI

I'd switch UK and Mizzou.

I had a tough time differentiating between UK and Mizz on the list.

I can see both sides having an argument on being ranked over the other though. Don't they play this weekend?

I'm not really sure to be honest. I just felt like UK was better due to the road SEC win. Plus they are playing great on D.

I think we have to hit short passes over the middle to open up the offense. their defense is stout and it will be hard for the O to sustain drives imo. Really hoping the pass will open up the run.

I think our defense does well AS LONG AS they contain Grier's legs, he is pretty athletic. Reeves-Maybin has a good game and a ton of tackles.

Fla will play tough man coverage on our WR and stack the box. OU covered our WR like a wet blanket and Fla will try to do the same thing.
They wont have to adjust to doing it in a second half either, it will be their gameplan from the start and they will practice it all week.
Our WR need to learn how to help the QB out when he scrambles. If you're on a deep route, come back. If you're on a short route, go deep.
Our D should be able to really force a lot of bad situations for Fla offense and I really think that we can force them to punt a lot. This should be an advantage for us with our return game but its Fla so you never know. I also like to think that with the pressure we should be able to generate our QB will make less bad decisions than theirs due to experience. Lets face it, both QBs will be running for their lives.
I really believe that our return game or defense needs to score to put this one away for UT.

We will probably injure their starter again and then make their backup look like the second coming of Steve McNair per usual.

Just saw the news on Danny.

Also, to anyone who hasn't had a chance to watch the UK-UF game, please do.

Their offense looked like dog shite (Something like 80 yards total and 0 points scored in the second half against UK) Very weak OL and run game. Defense looks good, not great IMO. Their stats are padded by 3 bad opponents.

Both defenses should play strong Saturday. I think it comes down to who has the ability to make more plays on offense this year. I like us in that department quite a bit after watching UF struggle to put up 14 on Kentucky.
