Trying to get over injuries to starters, like Justin Garrett, Tray Matthews, Carl Lawson, Josh Holsey and TJ Davis. Josh Holsey is out for the season with an ACL tear, TJ Davis should return soon from an ACL tear (I'm skeptical), and the other 3 might be back this week but nobody is really saying.

I would buy your excuse if Auburn played anybody with an offense. But...

You expect to give up 20 or points against an FCS team when Will Muschamp is in charge of the defense, not sure why getting lit up like that is surprising at Florida with better defensive talent he gave up at least 3 scores in half of the contests where he faced a FCS opponent.

2011: Furman- 32 points

2013: Georgia Southern: 26

2015: JSU- 20 Points

His last year at Texas his defenses (which were for the first time manned by primarily Muschamp recruits) gave up at least 28 points in all but two games.

He also had the worst single game defensively in Florida history with a defense that will probably end up sending half or more of its starters to the NFL.
