Wow, seriously?

Yes. Dead serious.

He was on the NCAA committee that determined where the regionals would be played and refused to advocate for A&M getting to host instead of TCU. We know that without a doubt because he said so himself in an interview. He also said that he thought TCU deserved it because he found their record more impressive, despite the fact that A&Ms record was literally (in the proper sense of the word) better. He then showed up to the game in a TCU-purple shirt and was photographed hobnobbing with big TCU boosters. Have you ever worked with an old person who is a year or so from retirement and pretty much does nothing and is a big net zero for the organization. That's exactly what Hyman is like, only in that analogy he'd have your company's competition's swag all over his desk.

The stadium funding and planning was all done before he was hired and what little input he tried to have was negative. The money that rained in had nothing at all to do with him and had everything to do with the SEC move, Johnny, and the new stadium. He hasn't fund-raised, he hasn't fired the coach he should have fired, he lost the tennis coach to UTw, he hasn't made any important decisions himself - even the choice of concession operator was made by the Chancellor. He's done nothing other than get in dust-ups with Sumlin over discipline and tell a journalist the private content of his conversation with Johnny Manziel.

I work for the Feds. We have plenty of people like that. And most of them are nowhere near retirement.
