Yeah, me neither. But, he's who we got for now, so roll with it and see what happens.
I'll get ripped for this but I think I'd almost rather see Bauta back there IF Lambert and Ramsey are really that inept at throwing the football. He opens up another dimension as a legit running threat and surely he can complete passes in the short and intermediate range. Schotty has a run game designed for the QB obviously with that Keep that Lambert ran in for a TD.

You could also argue that he wasn't getting good coaching at UVA and thus while he has more game experience than the other options, he could be more raw with his fundamentals.
There's a reason he's not the QB at Virginia. All you had to do was watch the VA/ND game. That QB for VA was alot better than Lambert. Lambert might be serviceable, but we won't see the "real deal" until next year.
Hopefully our RB's/Defense will be enough to take us to the SECCG.

I have liked Faton the whole time but I guess there is a reason he is third string!

The dude just isn't comfortable.
Mason was like the the beginning and on and off last year. Murray used to get like that at times and think just a bit before passing. Usually resulting in an overthrow.
Rushing out of pockets that aren't collapsing and keying on a single target each time, is just bad QB play.
I don't know what the answer for him personally is.
My guess is he performs better in practice without the pressure.
I don't think yanking them back and forth is gonna make it any better.
He just needs to step up and not worry as much about the possible mistakes. Hopefully, some proper play calling can help him with that.

Has anyone actually seen Bauta run against D1 competition in real life or have we just repeated "he's a great runner" so many times we just buy it?
During the G Day game all I saw him do was bump into our OLinemen a lot and look confused.
