Tennesse vs OU and the SEC Propaganda

Do you think that by OU making a big deal out of this game against Tennessee it only adds to the "SEC is King" mentality. It would be crazy to me if you saw any of the top teams in the SEC saying some of these things that OU players are saying if they were playing a mid/lower level team in the Big 12 like an Oklahoma State, Kansas State etc. or in any other conference. All these comments made only seem to add to the fact that they feel inferior or that they aren't as confident as a team as they should be.
What they should do is: compliment the Vols, ignore the SEC talk, and then win big. But instead they fuel the fire by running their mouths and making the stage bigger and at the end of the day all Oklahoma can do is what they're supposed to or lose on now an even bigger stage.
With that being said the SEC is King and Oklahoma beating Tennessee this weekend does nothing to disprove that.

They did an anti-SEC hype video prior to the game last year. It was not directed at TN, but the entire league.

Stoops loves to play the disrespect card. He constantly used it against Mizzou, whom he mud stopped most of the time anyway. It doesn't matter what the facts are, Poops will spin it to appear to be disrespect aimed at his Pooners.

However, I'm tired of taking grief for "not doing anything" about these incidents, so I'm going to leave it up to the "offended" party to decide if punishment is required and if so, the severity of it. So, if you don't mind someone linking to your publicly available info, then you don't have to punish. If you think your life is ruined, then you can have the linker removed from the board.

If I remember correctly A&M was OU's bitch then kind of like how you are LSU's bitch now.

Their coach is obsessed with the SEC and it trickles down to their players. This game is basically a pick 'em depending on what site you look at but you would think Oklahoma is a 30 point underdog with the way they have been talking all week.

Whaaaaaat?
On which occasion EVER IN HISTORY would Bob have had to play a "disrespected" card against Mizzou? I've never heard him utter a single sentence about feeling "disrespected".

What you are saying is probably correct...but the narrative is way to deep to do that.

Who hasn't mud stomped mizzou?

What he's saying is the SEC is still king whether they win or lose. World class logic.

They really are running their mouths. Since when do you see top teams run their mouths against perceived weaker opponents? Fact is they are nervous about playing this game and are covering it up with bluster and bravado.

He did it in 2007 claiming that someone said the win in Norman was lucky. He ranted about it on a Big 12 conference call I believe. Except no one said anything like that. He invented the whole thing.

He said he doesn't know anything about Rocky Top. Why would he?
He said Hurd is like any other RB. He can be tackled.
You guys are trying too hard to feel disrespected.

No idea what you're talking about. Seems like you're inventing the whole thing.

I think what he's saying is that a team that has been 9th or 10th in the league, for about a decade now, losing shouldn't really impact the national perception of the SEC.
