How I rate tonight's performance: cringeworthy
We got obliterated by that QB and his WR's
However I do believe that adjustments can be made, and that the problems can be fixed.
Also as a side note, it is abundantly clear that tonight's game rustled the SEC's jimmies so hard that they have caught on fire.
Bring on that checker-boarded crowd baby.

Martinez not being there did not help at all. I also think we underestimated BG (not the team, our fans... The team knew this wasn't going to be a cakewalk). They were experienced and their offense is very good, I think this tested us enough for us to improve and be better next week when we need to be. I would much rather have a challenging win than a cupcake win. More teaching points and even better not many if any injuries this game.

Bowling Green is never as much of a cupcake as many like to portray them.
The overreaction to everything on the first weekend is pretty comical.

Where was Martinez?
Serving an NCAA suspension for a 'bump' rule violation that happened 16 months ago.

Tis tRant, they want Arkansas, Mizzou, and Tennessee to fail more than they want to win.

I want everyone to fail except UGA

Of course, and that's fine. But I'm sure you're more concerned with your team winning than other teams losing.

They should remove their ankle weights before next week's game.

that sounds like a plan

Of course, I'm a UGA fan not an AU fan

Zing. I've noticed they really do hate y'all on tRant. I suppose I never realized the fan hate was so strong despite the ancient rivalry. Outside of those already listed the idea of us having a good season has really driven a few gator posters nuts lately. I'm not talking about Korin who is there mainly to rustle all the way in any kind of weather but others.
In all seriousness, there's being a fan of your school and then being that fanbase that really is more concerned with bad things befalling your rivals or teams you dislike. The latter one is actually disturbing when seen in real life. I've never liked it when it goes over into real life in any kind of way that's just too damn far and as far as defining "just too damn far" I'll use the test for when something crosses from a standard film into hard core porn the Supreme Court established, "I know it when I see it."

We used to be pretty friendly until the 2010 game with Nick Fairley and all the cheap shots. They have some good posters but their fan base is pathetic here. After they won their last SECCG they kept bragging about a UGA melt that wasn't there instead of celebrating a championship win

One of the worst performances out of the secondary in Butchs tenure here. Losing Gaulden and McNeil hurt us more than I thought it would too. FWIW, BGSU's Johnson is a very good QB. I saw some where that the big knock on him coming out of HS was his height/size. He played well yesterday though. We're going to have to get better there immediately.
Hopefully Justin Martin really comes on hot after being back from his injury and steals Foreman's spot. Foreman got exposed quite a bit yesterday which was shitty to see as I was rooting for the kid (still am). If we play like that against OK though it's going to be tough hole to dig our selves out of.
They say the biggest improvement comes from week 1 to week 2.. let's hope that holds true in Knoxville this Saturday.

Outside of Preston Williams, Justin Martin is the one player that I wanted UGA to sign that UT got. He's gonna be a player.

I think he will be a player for us, unfortunately he took a nasty hit and got his knee rolled up at the bottom of a dog pile towards the end of fall camp. And hasn't been able to show what he's capable of yet. He played a few minutes yesterday, but I would think the plan is to get him a lot more involved going forward.

1 of these is not like the other two
Vols have real history on their side as a certified top football program. Hence Alabama always want to beat them and UGA is close behind. Auburn has Bama to hate so not as much action there.
