McElwain has always said from spring camp to now that it wasn't about measurables and who can make this throw and that throw. It was going to be about who moved the offense better, elevated the players around him and how they handled key situations. Reading into that I always thought that favored Treon a bit more.

That actually worries me then. This team is not good enough to go to Atlanta. So who cares about this year. Honestly, I don't want to try to win this year and go all in on it. This team isn't strong enough to win it all. SO build for next year when we have far more experience. Grier is the better passer of the two that's obvious from every report I've seen. Harris is more athletic, but Grier can run too. I don't want to see 10-20 type games. Sick of them. I want a QB who puts the ball between the numbers. Hopefully Harris has improved his accuracy. If so I'm all in for the kid. But his tape last year was not all that great overall. Mind you it was in Muschamp's death trap to all offensive players though

And this is really it. Let's see how Treon is with a proven offensive mind.

Well we can't blame Treon for struggling as a True Freshman last year. That was the staffs fault for not recruiting enough QBs ahead of him and having to get thrown into that shitshow of an offense that quite frankly Tom Brady wouldn't of had success in.

He hasn't been named the permanent starter. Someone was going to take the first snap, that person is going to be Treon.

How old are you to be sick and tired of ANYTHING? Ive been a Gator since 1962...and I dont care if we win games 10-7, its a damn win. You are one of those folks who wanna see 55 throws a game....trust me we would end up 4-8 then. You have to run the ball (and stop the run) to win...period.

Back to qbs, Treon had sub .500% passing completion record and I watched him very carefully...he actually is NOT good at scrambling to avoid pressure most of the time and usually loses yards when he does....now in open field? He is definitely a runner that eludes tacklers.
His arm strength is average, he is 5'11" and that can be deterimental in seeing the field.

I cannot honestly rate Grier very well...spring game doesnt do anything. He is dating ex Tampa Bay Buc cheerleader and has eye for talent . I can judge some of his other abilities after New Mexico State and East Carolina.

By the way I disagree 100% with you 2008 about our chances of competing for SEC east...but thats just my opinion.....every team has warts (also in west) and no one thats picking UGA to win the east is talking about THEIR qb issues...geez why? Because they have Nick Chubb...who is a great RB...but guess what? You stack 8 men on the line and dare the UGA qb to beat you.

Our Kelvin Taylor is pretty fine RB also and I think he will show why he was heavily recruited this year...his dad really didnt show his stuff that much til junior year. We also have Scarlett and Kronkite behind him...I think thats why Lane hit the bricks?

2008...do you wanna borrow my O&B sunglasses?
