2010 8-5
2011 7-6
2012 11-2
2013 4-8
2014 7-5

One losing season in the last 30 years...

But math says that is trending down, according to a brainwashed fan base...

I think those posters need to consider attending the fine academic institution of the University of Florida.

Their statistics program is very good and will help aid those posters struggles in drawing conclusions from mathematical data

More to do with the loss of urban. It's just perception anyway. Too much talent, too much money to stay down long.

good question, if the Gators keep this up then they will only be just a little better than the Vols, but that is just cuz Tenner C can't win the head to head...

We expect SEC championship contention every season, so no it's not acceptable.

But 4 wins to 7 wins shows a win increase of 175%. But I guess that shows we are trending down

2003 - 10-3
2004 - 10-3
2005 - 5-6
2006 - 9-4
2007 - 10-4
2008 - 5-7

UT fans felt pretty good after 2006 & 2007. At that time, UT had had one losing season in 19 years. Heck, prior to the 2005 season, UT had only had one losing season in 25 years. The past doesn't always indicate the future.

year after year, the state of florida has huge numbers of high school seniors sign scholarships with schools from all over the country....there is too much talent in florida for the gaytors to be a bad football program.....they will be back very soon

Florida has trended down, not just by record but by attitude and national perception. So yea, we are. We aren't at the Tennessee level a few years ago, or the level Miami hit, but if Mac doesn't work...well we are there.

Vol math:
5-7 -> 7-6 = trending up
4-8 -> 7-5 = trending down

2012 was a fluke. Program has been pretty bad since Urban left.

I was at the game at Kyle Field (Beautiful campus by the way )

And the adjustments he made at halftime in in the second half of that game may have been one of the best jobs of coaching I have ever seen. He found a way to completely lock down JFF in the second half and game up <100 I think

yeah, after muschamps defense set a record for futility against bama last year, i think it's safe to say who was running the defense in 2012.

dan quinn 1milx> than muschamp.

History says it is.

Outside the Spurrier decade, in their entire football history they've managed a whopping 4 seasons with 10 or more wins.

well, if you're looking at the last 2 years only then yeah, UF is actually trending way up! But that doesn't paint the whole picture. I noticed in your OP that you list the last 5 years of UF football. How does that compare to the 5 years before it? How bout the previous 10 years? 15?

I'm not sure how anyone could look at the last decade of UF football and come to any conclusion other than them trending down. The fact that you're hanging your hat on a 7-5 season should tell us all we need to know about how florida is trending.

Since 1990, Florida has won more SEC Championships than anybody. Alabama included. You know what the standard at Florida is. Don't act like it isnt high
