Probably a pretty good chance that if he had stopped when told to he wouldn't have even been arrested. That still doesn't excuse a cop beating a drunk in the head with a night club....that shite could have caused some serious damage and the kid is guilty of nothing more than being drunk....shouldn't be a death penalty at the ahnd of the state...

He wasn't excusing the cops actions. He was saying if the kid had done as asked (And everything the cop asked was correct and reasonable) nothing wuould have happened.

And the kid was guilty of much more than being drunk. He was disorderly, resisting arrest, tresspassing, underage drinking.

He could have been arrested for any or all of those things....yet the officer was allowing him to leave scot free....if he had just kept his mouth shut and gone home. But, the kid just couldn't do it.

Does that give the cop the right to hit the kid? I don't know...probably not. Especially after the kid sat down and was not resisting anymore.
