Interesting comments about the Vols on radio today.....

ATL sports radio guy interviewed a K'ville sports radio to talk about the Vols (Hooker I believe). He said Dobbs was terrible early on and isn't confident he can hold off the more talented QB's UT is bringing in. Thought it was interesting given the how the Vols on this board regard Dobbs. He didn't play vs. UGA so I know virtually nothing about him....other than he looks like a alien.

Dobbs is a gamer and not a practice player, or so I've heard from UT fans before.

was listening to Nashville radio the other day, and one of the Vols guys from Knoxville (can't remember his name) was saying that freshman Quinten Dromandy throws the best of the QBs. Obviously Dobbs runs the best and is probably mucu more prepared to be a starting SEC QB, but yeah found it interesting to hear a freshman was the best passer on the team, when Dobbs is being hyped like he is.

Dave Hooker spews crap 24/7. I went to UT's open practice and saw Dobbs launch a ball from midfield and nail the crossbar on his first try. Yet I'm sure OP will be upvoted by a ton of rustled posters who are affected by tFear.

The coaches have been complementary in interviews. I've also heard that Dobbs has always been more of a gamer.

When are people going to learn that you need to let the actual play on the football field during games tell the story, not some dumb practice report from some media guy that probably doesn't have a damn clue what is going on during practice.

He completed 59% of his passes as a freshman and 63% of his passes as a sophomore. Some more improvement there and that is more than adequate.

He has had good games and he has had games where he was absolutely horrible in.....aka vs Vanderbilt. He threw 9 tds ,had 6 ints. He is not all world like some are putting him up to be. In his defense, his oline is terrible so he spends a lot of time running.

Dormandy is the best passer, guy has a rocket arm. But Dobbs is the QB that gives us the best chance to win this year.

I don't think I've heard any UT fan claim that. Maybe I should leave the state of TN for better insight
