ASU is missing 2 players from last year's entire defensive depth chart. The defense was for the most part installed by Day 3 of camp. Many of the sacks and stops are on the 2nd team offense, which unlike the second defense has next to no experience on the OL. Pass protection might be a problem, but it's not surprising that there are a lot of plays in the backfield right now.
The major concern is that they've struggled to develop a true nosetackle. They had a freshman AA a few years ago who's basically not with the team and the other one that has, when available, been effective against power run teams is at 390 pounds and approaching unplayable against a no huddle. Instead they've got several 290 pound ends that they're just shuffling inside since they've done well developing that position. The DL will be a bit light up the middle, but fast.

Solid first post. Like I said this is an interesting match up. A&M has the scheme to terrorize ASU but inexperience at qb diminishes my concern. A&M is installing a new defense and ASU is light on experience on the OL.
They are both teams with good coaching and upstarts in great divisions. This is one of the more underrated games of the OOC.
