Bielema is an excellent coach and could win anywhere once his system is implemented.

2014 narrative: bert sucks

2015 narrative: he's too good, when's bert getting out of arkie?

i can't wait to see what 2016 brings.

For the record, I always liked Bielema. I think Arkansas did remarkably well for having to settle on their second choice who was in a much lower tier than what their first ambition was. Great recovery for Jeff Long.

I never thought he sucked. His system compared to Petrino's is night and day. Factor in the 2012 debacle and you'd be a fool not to think he'd struggle in 2013. Also, to the guy that said the Iowa job won't be available anytime soon. They're paying Ferentz 4 million dollars to string together these results the last five years:

8-5
7-6
4-8
8-5
7-6

No, the narrative is still that he sucks. Congrats on yelling that he's good loud enough and frequently enough to convince the dumb portion of college football fans that he's a good coach. I've said it before and I'll say it again, a coach with 2 SEC wins in 2 years isn't a good coach. All of the "good" coaches in the SEC saw almost immediate success at their respective programs, and it took most of them no more than a year to get 10+ wins and be at the top of their division.

Bert's ceiling is 9 wins as long as he's at Arkansas. Ya'll had the benefit of sneaking up on teams last year after being fricking TERRIBLE 2 years ago and now ya'll are going to see what it's like to be taken seriously and be the target and not the headhunter.

It's so hilarious how fans of weak programs like Arkansas don't understand that it gets exponentially harder to get more wins or even maintain success when you're winning 8 games a year versus 2 games a year.

If Les retired or got ran off, Bielema would definitely be on the short list. He'd be extremely dangerous with a wealth of elite recruits.
