No one said that. It depends on the scheme they're used in and Mack won't be used correctly in Chavis' system.

It kills me that you think the right way to use a 6'1 330 pound interior DLmen is to get him to shoot gaps every play. Seriously. It's like you've never watched football. Go find clips of Jerry Ball. That's how Mack is going to play. If he keeps his weight under control and takes care of his body, he's going to be an almost unblockable plug in the interior run defense.

Mack will be very, very good for aTm in time. He's going to get pushed around just like every other freshman DT does until he learns how to play the position with technique. Raw ability isn't enough when going up against the maulers the anchor the middle in the SEC.
