Let the QB controversy begin...

I'm not advocating a controversy. There's no way you can throw a FR in at QB for Mizzou IMO. Especially with Mauk's experience. M
It will be interesting to see if Zanders, Printz and Lock can push Mauk, though.

I was only half serious.

Good to see though. Sounds like he will be the real deal.

Mauks completion rate can be directly related to the number of wounded ducks he throws. I'd be willing to bet that was an issue again.

PM said Lock was the best QB on the field today. Granted he was going against the 2's and 3's mostly, but apparently he was very impressive. Mauk was under .500 again for completion percentage, but he did have a couple of drops. He also made several poor passes to guys who were wide open.

So looking at the offense of the future whoever takes over for Mauk in 2017 season will have a loaded offensive team around him.

If Lock is the better option why should seniority or experience play a role here? The idea that we should let a below 60% passer, who also may have reached his ceiling for potential, continue to run our offense is mind boggling to me. I may be in the minority here but I personally think Mauk has the potential to lose us 2 games this year.

When your QB coach tells Pete Scantlebury after the scrimmage that Mauk has not taken a step forward or a step back and that he still has to show more consistency that's an issue when you are in your 4th year in the program.
