So this dude is telling you to stay away from the MS coast after describing his positive experience on Ship Island.

First off, if you've never been to the MS coast you will be surprised at what it actually has to offer. Yes, the beaches at Gulfport and Biloxi are man made, and the water is murky with no surf to be found. The Mississippi Sound is part of the Gulf of Mexico, but it's large with islands spaced about the bottom that separate it from the open Gulf. But it's not cut off by any means.

The MS coast has some of the nicer casino resorts outside of Vegas, and one offers a PGA golf course, and brand new AA baseball park across from the water. The area is also extremely rich with history and there are some historic restaurants that have been around for a while. There are some live oaks in Biloxi that are between 1000-2000 years old, still present along the north side of Hwy 90, which runs along the beach. Ship Island has a ferry that takes about 40 mins to travel the 12 miles to the island. Sometimes dolphins breach alongside the ferry which is cool to see.

Ship Island is part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore of FL and MS. There's some great fishing in spots and Ship Island has Ft. Massachusetts that dates just pre civil war, that you can tour. After you dock and walk across the island, the water improves greatly and there is some surf and sand.

Look! It's the muddy swamp located in the Land Mass! I can see why y'all think it is so gross.
