Did he? It has been a while for me too. Fine by me though
. The films always made them basically normal soldiers with some extra parlor tricks half the time until they actually had to fight each other. Probably should have been more in the middle of power level of defeating an entire army and where they were in episode III. I think III was the closest to where I would have had them.

Sort of. He and Yoda take apart an invading force that leads into III, and an earlier episode has him destroying tons of droids and then a ship that was firing an insane weapon. As far as SW was concerned, Yoda and Windu were the two most powerful Jedi.
