Simon has been at the Adidas Uprising today and was there yesterday as well. Not sure who they're keeping tabs on besides Heron though.

New Talked to Terrance Ferguson briefly, he was terrific defensively today. He didn't take many shots, probably five, in the win over Team Thad. He said that he noticed the three Alabama coaches at the game and said they're one of the schools he hears from the most.

Unless you well and truly believe that you can make it to the league, it would be foolish to accept an offer from someone else if you could go to Stanford or Harvard.

did we ever hear reports of our "sorry" last coach out on the recruiting trail like this
Posted on 7/17/15 at 8:52 pm to mrbroker
Yea but he was watching local jokers. He wasn't on the national scene...so actually no.
Posted on 7/17/15 at 8:54 pm to mrbroker
Yes. Especially for the first 4 years. You'll see a lot of people complaining about Grant not going hard after the super talented players, but that's complete horseshite. In fact, you could say that was his downfall at Alabama. He went so hard after premium recruits only to place 2nd and miss out on some quality prospects in the process. Can't remember who it was (maybe Jerry Meyer) who said Anthony Grant's recruiting of Willie Cauley was borderline stalkerish. He also came close to landing a dynamite 2013 class that completely fell apart when Anthony Barber decided to go full thug. I disliked Grant's coaching style and personality (or lack thereof) as much as the next guy, but I hate it when people make crap up to throw him under the bus for.
