I get that. Alabama will always have an easier time in football than say A&M. I am not dumb.
Yet you won't admit the opposite- that some things DO change. Realignment, national demographic shifts, and uber rich alums can change the projectory of programs for forever. Thanks to Realignment no elite Texas recruit will ever pick Nebraska over A&M again. When I was in school that was a fact of life. Things can change for the better or for the worse.

The trend at Nebraska will be hard to reverse. Hiring Riley was symbolic of their current mediocrity. That is not the coach you hire to beat Urban Meyer or Harbaugh.
