I think that's the point you're missing. What proof is there that anything happened besides rumor or innuendo? Because Richt got mad and turned us in? No he thought he was entitled to Tunsil and threw a hissy fit because his toy got taken away. Now its a stepdad who's saying the university gave him gifts(and people believe him obviously) when that's the easiest thing to prove. Not only that when he wasn't even involved with Tunsil's recruitment and didn't marry his mom until after he signed. If something comes up sure drag us through the mud but let's drop the moral high ground shite.

People are claiming there doesn't need to be any proof to get major punishments. It's baffling that they actually believe that. Unless step dad has hard evidence then his comments are no more valid than someone on a message board. How many times do you think the NCAA has dealt with disgruntled family members trying to screw someone over? This isn't the first time

Because if they put major sanctions on us or rule Tunsil ineligible with absolutely no evidence, then Ole Miss and Laremy could have a field day in court suing them

It has nothing to do with Richt feeling entitled. The Tunsils had their hands out and it was well known. Richt was completely disrespected and berated by the Tunsils because he refused to play ball. Even some of your own fans heard about all of these things (even at the time). Unfortunately, him beating up his stepfather and throwing the stepfather under the bus have given the NCAA a reason to investigate due to his cooperation. The below excerpt was written soon after National Signing Day of 2013 detailing a $100K payout from Ole Miss to Tunsil (and free tickets). This is what Lindsey Miller is corroborating. Ultimately, we will see what happens, but there is certainly a lot of smoke when it comes to Tunsil.

"Look, congrats on the class, it's a good one no doubt. The tie-in with Nkemdiche made it. But, you should have quit when you were ahead. You can justify everyone in your class except Tunsil. I know the story, so do the Georgia coaches, especially John Lilly. Tunsil committed to him 4 weeks ago. Then he saw the text to Tunsil's mom where she said, "Don't be foolish, take care of the family". 100K plus Super Bowl tickets sealed the deal."
