1. Charlie McClendon missing on 4th down and not kicking the tying field goal against Ole Miss and Archie in Nov 1969.
We tie them 26-26 and we are 9-0-1 and play #1 Texas in the Cotton Bowl (as it was supposed to be anyway.)
Instead we lose 26-23, go 9-1, and the Cotton rescinds informal Cotton offer to #7 9-1 LSU and chooses #11 8-2 Notre Dame over us...
2. Curley Hallman and Lynn Amedee - the whole 4th quarter at Auburn in 1994. We led 23-9 and Auburn's QB Nix was injured. We had only to run the ball the entire 4th quarter and the final score might still have ended up 23-9 as they couldn't move the ball at all.
Instead, Amedee (with Hallman's approval, ostensibly) calls for pass after pass after pass from Jamey Howard, which results in 3 pick sixes and one of the most confounding losses ever in the history of sport.
3. Up 17-14 on Bama in Nov 2012 in a frenzied DV, with about 2 minutes left in the game and a first and 10 from the Bama 28, Miles decides to be safe and run, which promptly results in a bad pitch and a 6 yard loss - which virtually assured 2 up-the-middle plunges and a field goal.
Miles outsmarted himself that game. He gambled when he shouldn't have (fake FG on 4th and 10) and didn't gamble when he should have.
Of course Alleman missed the FG. And then 3rd and last 2 minutes Chavis blows the game....

Mike Price- without saying
Gene Stallings- S. Alexander hasnt played all season. HAS to play due to injury vs LSU and runs for 296. Doesnt play the rest of the season until the Michigan bowl game and basically wins the game when he is FINALLY put in the 4th qtr and almost runs for 100 yds in that qtr alone. Gene was great but the game had passed him by. Playing Dennis Riddle over Alexander![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)
