I hear people in KC are raving about a new BBQ place called Q39. I've never tried it, but I will next time I'm in town.
I have always previously recommended LC's BBQ. - Damn Good.

LC's, Joe's and q39 are the top of the BBQ game. Arthur Bryant's and Gates are classic historical institutions, but they aren't at the top of their game anymore. Jack Stack is a very nice dining experience and has good Q.
