Well Colonel Reb did negatively impact us in recruiting. Tubberville said as much. But the state as a whole isn't being held back by our flag. It's our shite education system for the most part and then the lack of people willing to work.

Changing the flag is the priority for liberals right now.

Once the flag is changed, they'll want to change something else. Once that is changed, they'll look to change something else.

It's a bunch of bored people who have nothing better to do with their time.

My personal take? Change it if you want to. It won't hurt me. It's a piece of cloth. I do however have a tough time thinking about the smug look some folks will get once we "give in" to their butthurt ways of thinking.

No it didn't. The same negative recruiting that was going on against us still goes on today. Other schools still paint us as vengeful confederates as evidence by Laremy Tunsil's mom who didn't want him to take a visit for the longest because she thought he'd be assaulted by roving white supremacists or Marlon Humphrey who claimed we have weekly KKK rallies. Every school does it to the others here in the SEC and they'd be stupid if they didn't. Tuberville just wasn't a very good recruiter even if he was right about getting rid of the flags.
