Manziel sat out 5 complete quarters, and played 1 drive (or less) in 5 other quarters in 2012. He still broke the SEC single season yardage record by nearly 800 yards despite playing in one less game than cam newton. I'm not saying he is or isnt a better Qb than Newton, only that everything you wrote is bullshite.

5 complete quarters in a shite schedule full of fluff teams and a SEC West that was down that year.

Florida - 1 TD.
Ole Miss - 2 TDs
LSU - 0 TDs(3 INT)
Miss St - 2 TDs.
Alabama - 2 TDs.

Amongst teams with decent defense, didn't get many TD's.

Arkansas - 4 TDs.
Mizzou - 5 TDs.
Auburn - 5 TDs.

Arkansas that year was 4-8. Auburn was 3-9, and Missouri was 5-7.

SMU - 6 TDs
South Carolina St - 5 TDs.
LA Tech - 6 TDs.
Sam Houston - 5 TDs

2 FCS teams in this mix, and then 2 terrible other OOC games.

So where did he get all his "amazing stats"? He padded them while playing the bad teams.

btw, in 2012 when Alabama played it's FCS team. AJ came out after 1 drive in the 2nd quarter with only a 28 pt lead and only throwing 1 TD pass.

It was all HYPE

But that's what the Heisman is about, so don't see what it matters too much. It was a good year for the aggies, and you got to act like you actually belonged in the SEC for awhile.

Every heisman winner, ever, has put up stats on bad teams.

Using only TDs accounted for in a stat sheet is a stupid metric. This does not take into account moving the ball to the goal line, moving the chains, and keeping the other offense off of the field.

Erase from the stats either one of the two games where he broke the sec single game yardage record, and he still owns the sec season yardage record, in 2 less games. The guy lead the nation in total yardage and lead the fricking sec in rushing. He won practically every award he was eligible for, and was on everyone's all American lists. But, you know, it was just hype...as opposed to those other guys that won it playing the 85 bears 12 weeks in a row.

Holy shite, you cannot be serious.

You're trying to say those were his bad games.

He passed for 311 yards @ an 83% clip then ran for another 129 vs MSU and that is supposed to be a knock against him?

He goes on the road vs the #1 team, beats them, puts up ~350 total yards with zero turnovers and that's a knock against him?

Its time to turn off the computer, walk outside of your trailer, lay down in the middle of the road, and hope a big truck comes by soon so we are all saved from your completely ridiculous utter bull shite.
