I started drinking unsweetened tea with Sweet&Low as a kid because sugar wouldn't dissolve in cold tea.

I had friend who was from New Hampshire in college who absolutely hated sweet tea. I found out his version of sweet tea was adding the sugar after it was brewed and chilled. He said it was life changing when I fixed him sweet tea with the sugar added while it was still hot.

As for personal preference, I can do unsweetened tea sometimes but for the most part it has to be sweetened. I like a good ol' fashioned Arnold Palmer too (half iced tea/half lemonade). I'll also occasionally throw a handful of fresh, muddled fruit in a pitcher.
